
LESSON 2: How to Improve Online Research Skills
Introduction
The second lesson covers online research skills needed to do well on the Decades Project. For this lesson, you will perform online research and document your sources. You will first watch a multimedia presentation on improving online research skills. Then you will read the corresponding readings. Next, you complete the online research skills assignment and participate in the discussion question for online research skills. Finally, you will complete the brief online research skills quiz to check your skills!
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

Assess and choose a search engine.

Identify effective search terms and parameters.

Evaluate websites to find credible sources.

Develop proper MLA citations.
